Therapies offered

As an integrative relational counsellor, I use a range of different therapeutic approaches to support my work so that when we work together, I use the best approach to suit your individual needs. The main approaches I use are:

Gestalt therapy

To help you to focus on the here and now and your immediate thoughts, feelings and behaviour so you can understand how you relate to others and to specific situations, to help you find a more positive perspective.

Humanistic therapy

Reflect on your feelings, and what your hopes are for yourself; about self-development and achieving your potential.

Integrative therapy

Integrative brings together different elements of other therapeutic approaches to suit the individual.

Client-centred therapy

Person-centred or client-centred therapy is based on the view that everyone has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change, by identifying and coming to terms with any negative feelings and find a way to change and develop.

Psychodynamic therapy

Psychodynamic therapy stresses the importance of your childhood experiences and how they have shaped how you behave and react in the present.

Solution focused brief therapy

This therapy promotes positive change rather than dwelling on past problems. Practitioners will encourage you to focus positively on what you do well, set goals and work out how to achieve them.
